”The recurring theme is that the person, through no fault of his own, is put in the middle of a situation and forced to sort it out. There’s a put-upon quality to him. Those stories have always worked the best for me.”

Welcome to The “Newhart” Archive

Welcome to The “Newhart” Archive. This project has been a very long time in the making — in fact, you could say decades in the making, if we go all the way back to when I first became a fan of the show.

Originally conceived as a website, a few minor and major hiccups along the way led me to realize that TNA would/could work best in blog form. So here we are.

I plan to try to add a new post to the blog every few days. Sometimes the day’s post will announce an update to TNA’s Episode Guide. Other times the day’s post will feature something different — an old print interview with one of the “Newhart” cast members, a “Newhart”-related YouTube clip, a picture, quotes, a character profile, an observation…. You get the idea!

I welcome feedback! If you have any comments/questions/concerns, please respond to this post and let me know. Thanks, and happy reading. 🙂
